Relief Veterinarian

About Me

I am originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and while pets were always present, my interest in veterinary medicine was sparked during my undergraduate years, thanks to the opportunities provided by some great mentors in the field. I’ve always been driven by a strong desire to learn and take on new challenges, which is likely apparent through my professional career thus far.

I started my undergraduate studies at West Virginia University and graduated with a BS in Animal Science from the University of Florida. I completed my veterinary degree in 2015 at the University of Florida, with a certificate in Food Animal Medicine. That same year, I began an internship in large animal theriogenology at the University of Tennessee and attended the Cornell Summer Dairy Institute.

My focus on dairy herd management, nutrition, and analytics was furthered by a Master’s degree in Dairy Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2018. I worked as a dairy management consultant, nutritionist, and technical service specialist in Southern Wisconsin until 2020. After that, I joined BoviSync as the Director of Professional Services, helping dairies make the most of their data and developing custom solutions for large operations.

Even as I concentrated on the dairy industry, I found myself drawn to small animal medicine. I’ve worked with many skilled veterinarians to broaden my knowledge and apply my background in science and data to practice evidence-based medicine, aiming to provide top-notch care for pets and their owners.

I’m incredibly lucky to have my wife, also a veterinarian, and two children who are sure to have “interesting” recollections of our dinner table veterinary conversations as they grow older.

My Services

  • Small Animal General Practice and Urgent Care

  • I am a strong proponent of client education in the clinical decision-making process and am comfortable working within a spectrum of care.

  • I am flexible and comfortable with a variety of medical record systems. I seek to provide thorough records that adequately explain my findings, the discussion with owners, and the rationale for a particular treatment.
